The 139th Canton Fair Phase 3 closed on May 5, 2026. According to official data, the phase attracted 314,000 overseas buyers from 220 countries and regions, with over 3,200 exhibitors in the textile and garment section.

At Booth 15.4J07, the G&F sales team held hundreds of face‑to‑face conversations with buyers from the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia. What changed in textile sourcing this year? Three shifts stood out.

Change 1: Verifiable supply stability now outweighs price alone

Buyers no longer accept verbal promises. They increasingly request on‑site access to batch consistency reportson‑time delivery records, and certification validity and scope.

A buyer from the Middle East stated clearly: “We need predictable supply – no unexpected interruptions, no sudden price hikes.”

G&F’s response
At our booth, we provided summary reports of the last three production batches. OEKO‑TEX® Standard 100 and ISO 9001 certificates were accessible via QR code for real‑time verification. Over the past 12 months, our on‑time delivery rate for core product lines remained above 98% (internal data). These are not marketing claims – they are documented facts available upon request.

Change 2: Demand for functional fabrics is surging, far beyond outdoor applications

15D–50D lightweight fabrics, waterproof/breathable (10K/10K), wrinkle resistance, DWR finish – these keywords accounted for over 35% of booth inquiries. Visitors came not only from outdoor brands but also from workwear procurement, medical textile developers, and even bridal gown manufacturers.

G&F’s response
Our three core product lines – woven interlinings, nonwoven materials, and functional lightweight fabrics – cover diverse application scenarios. Functional lightweight fabrics can be customized in weight, width, and color, and we provide complete technical data sheets suitable for outdoor, industrial protective wear, medical textiles, and fashion apparel.

Change 3: Response speed directly determines supply chain competitiveness

Buyers repeatedly asked three questions: “When can I receive samples?”, “What is the lead time for bulk orders?”, “How do you handle urgent orders?” Amid global supply chain volatility, response speed has become a critical criterion for supplier selection.

G&F’s response
After receiving physical sample requests at the fair, we coordinated internal logistics the same day to ship samples. Regular samples are dispatched the same day; customized orders (specific weight/width/color) take 5–7 days. Bulk order lead time is typically 20–30 days, and we maintain regular inventory for key products to shorten replenishment cycles. This is not a promise – it is our supply chain standard, refined over 20 years.
